End of baseball

And so, another season of baseball has ended.  The boys had a wonderful team this year and even better coaches.  Having a good coach is so important and theirs was a winner this year.  The boys enjoyed playing at the *big fields* here in our small town.  The got to the gold level championship, but alas, got second place.  Still a great finish for an awesome team.

Even Juliana sported some baseball gear with her own baseball bow.

Both boys pitched a lot this season and love it!

After so many hours of watching...Joey needed a break under a shade tree.

He's so handsome, my Nini!!

2013 Spring Baseball

Oh gosh...how I love watching these two play baseball.  Since they were little wee ones playing t-ball, it has always been a joy to watch them play.  They have this twin intuition when they play together that is amazing to watch.  And they sure do look handsome in their uniforms!

Nicholas, my catcher(taking after his Uncle Randy)

Matthew loves to pitch.

I love this shot!  Matthew pitching, Nicholas catching.

Of course, Peanut loves baseball too!

The boys switched!  Nicholas is now pitching and Matthew is catching.

I want these days to never end.  They fill my heart with such joy!  I am blessed to be their mommy.

Baseball...

Baseball season is in full swing again and we are enjoying watching the boys play.  Nicholas is pitching as well as playing shortstop and occasionally third base.  Matthew is playing short stop, pitching some, and catcher.  Matthew has hit a triple every game so far and Nicholas has been hitting great as well.
Even Peanut loves to watch the games!

End of Baseball

We had our baseball party last Sunday.  It was nice(although very hot!).  The boys had a good season and the head coach was really great.  Darryl also got to coach this season.  He loves being there for the boys.

Another baseball post(featuring Nicholas)

Here is Nicholas pitching.  He also plays first base.  This game was a great one.  We were down by 4 and ended up winning the game!
Nicholas hit the first grand slam of the season!

Baseball is in full swing! (double post)

The boys have started baseball season again and they are having a ball!  They love baseball and this year they are on a new team that has a great coach.  Matthew was starting pitcher at this game and he did great!
He loves to pitch but also plays 3rd base.
These pictures of of my sweet baby angel, Matthew.

Fall baseball

The boys had their first kid pitch game last night for fall baseball.  They have moved up from coach pitch to 9/10 kid pitch even though they are only 8.  We were all excited to see how it was going to go...
I took a picture of the boys in their uniforms before they got dirty..I know they will never look this good again...

If you look closely, you'll see Nic as catcher and Matthew on 3rd base...
just like Rolfe and Randy...
Coincidence?
I think not!

He's so cute!!  He got the first out of the game with a ball that flew up over his head and he caught it!

Prayers after the game...

They won!  It was a great first game and we celebrated with friends at none other that our local

Baseball party

We got to have a small baseball party yesterday for our rec league baseball team.  It's been awhile since we were all together but this was the best time for the party because of vacations and All Star ball.  The cake was so cute and even had the kids in the positions they played.  The all recieved a trophy from the team as well as another trophy for winning the town's championship.  One of the mama's made cute little frames with each child's picture in it with a matting signed by all the coaches.  That truly was such a sweet gift.
There was not a dry eye in the place as well all ended a chapter and begin new chapters in the fall.  Some of the boys will play football, some will continue to play baseball and others I'm not sure...
It was bittersweet because we had some rough patches this season and it's been a L..O..N..G.. baseball season with the addition of All Stars(which just ended for us this weekend with a Silver bracket championship)..but we made some new friends along the way, was embraced by our new hometown, and the boys had a great time.  We will enjoy the next couple of weeks for rest and reconnection and then prepare for the next ball season to start...

County tournament

Here is a picture from our County tournament.  Like I said in a previous post, our team came in runner's up in the gold division against the team we played in the town championship.  It was a great season of recreation ball and we are definitely keeping busy with All Star ball so the story continues...
