Juliana's 40 day Blessing

What a blessing and honor it is to be part of such a beautiful, ancient faith that is the Orthodox faith.
I'd never had my other children churched because they converted at older ages.  This was a beautiful service that brought Juliana and myself back to the church after 40 days.  It was more than 40 days in our case, but none the less, a wonderful tradition.
God Grant You Many Years Juliana!

Loving...

Joey has watched me venerate icons around the house and he's begun to do so on his own accord.  He found my favorite little icon the other day, Theotokos of Vladimir and began taking it around the house kissing it.  It was precious.

House Blessing

Father Alexander came last week to bless our home with holy water.  It was so lovely to have him and his wife come out and do this for us.  We went and had a lovely dinner afterwards at a local place that Fr. Alexander suggested.  It was so good with yummy, unique burgers.  They even had a banana foster cheesecake dessert(my favorite).  Sadly, they were out of bananas, so I'll have to wait until next time(and yes, I've been thinking about the dessert almost constantly~).

Baptism and Chrismation

What a wonderful morning Feb. 26th was!  My boys and dear husband were baptized and chrismated into my faith.  It is so wonderful to all be united in the church that is my home...and now their home as well.
We were so blessed to have the godparents(my dad and Tracey) attend.  My mother and brothers all shared in the special event as well.  It meant so much to us that they all drove/flew up from Florida to attend.
Fr. Alex was so wonderful to do this and his sweet mother made all the Robes of Righteousness for the boys and Darryl.  Tracey made the most precious candles for all of them with their initials and the cross.
Glory to God for all things!
