Halloween Costumes 2015

 Nicholas...aka Nerd

Mathew...aka Mr Shark

Juliana...aka Witchy!

Matthew..aka Richard Simmons

Joseph and Juliana had a great time at our annual homeschool Fall Party.
Unfortunately, Nicholas and Matthew couldn't come because of an online class, but the littles brought home lots of treats for their big brothers.

Our scary shark!

A fun pumpkin weaving craft.

Juliana wanted to wear her mamma made dress instead of her costume.

Fun games!

Best friend *B* cheering on little Joe!

All this candy for me?!!

Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest

Our annual contest this year was a good one.
The big boys take this very, very seriously. They love to create something new each year.
Joseph and Juliana drew a face on their pumpkins and I carved out the drawings.
They cheered with glee as their drawings came to light in a carving!

This year, we had two winners!
It was a tie between Joseph and Nicholas.

Such fun memories!

Sometimes, the age gap between the big boys and Joe Joe makes it hard for them to connect.
While they all love each other, I know it can be difficult for the boys to play Candyland 6 times in a row or answer question after question from an inquisitive younger brother.
But, the big boys, especially Nicholas, have found such joy in teaching little Joe how to play baseball.  Joe is a natural, just like his big brothers.  He loves learning what *the big boys* know, but I think mostly he just loves the one on one attention he gets from his big brothers whom he admires so much.
Nicholas has asked if he can be a coach on Joe's spring team.  He really has a heart for younger children.  It would certainly make little Joe's heart swell with pride at seeing his big brother out there with him.  I think it will also do the same for his big brothers.

It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!

Our annual Charlie Brown Halloween party started with some yummy butternut squash soup and cornbread muffins.

Then, it was off to the cozy sofa with our fun matching socks and soft jammies!

This year, we headed to Patterson Farms for our annual pumpkin patch trip.  Our parish was sponsoring a family outing, so we tagged along with them.  While, I think I prefer Riverbend in Locust, NC, the children had a blast with their church friends.

Sweet puppy.

Cool bat!

Things are always fun with friends!

But especially great with family.
She loves her Nini!

 My best friend.
My partner.
My loving husband.
The father of my children.

Happy Birthday and Many Years!
