We ventured out into the freezing cold with friends to attend a live Nativity.
We had heard from another friend how fantastic it was and she was right!
They gave everyone a coin to enter the village and then we had to pay our tax to the Roman government. They had Roman soldiers walking around *torturing* people and taking more tax for their wares and sales.
It was very realistic and we really got a sense of what it was like back then. We got to see blacksmiths, candle makers, basket weavers, grape growers, etc.
We will definitely be making this a yearly Christmas tradition.
